Can I install the colonial shutters myself?

Yes! with the right tools, all of our shutters are pretty easy do-it-yourself projects. We have installation videos for all of the shutters on our website, towards the bottom of each product page.

How heavy are your aluminum storm panels?

Our aluminum storm panels weigh one pound per square foot. Aluminum storm panels are a lightweight and durable product.

Can the rolling shutters be made to lock?

Yes, we can add a key lock to the rolling shutter for an additional $75.

Do you offer security shutters for a patio?

Yes, our rolling shutters and accordion shutters can be used as security shutters.

Are your rolling shutters TDI (Texas Dept. of Insurance) Approved?

What is the difference between the HV1 and HV3 Accordion shutter? Will either one qualify for the insurance discount?

The HV3 Accordion shutter is slightly thinner material than the HV1. HV3 Accordion shutters are for use on homes and HV1 Accordion shutters can be used on commercial buildings, as well as residential properties. Both types of accordion shutter are approved and meet the regulations required for the insurance discount.
